mŏkbar has 2 bustling locations – one in Chelsea Market and the other next to Barclays Center in Brooklyn – inspired by the everyday food culture and lifestyle of Korea. mŏkbar combines traditional Korean soups with fresh ramen noodles for a unique culinary experience. In Korea, eating noodles on-the-go as street food is part of everyday life. As well, mŏkbar proudly serves Korean “Anju” or shareable small plates typically served with ice cold Beer and Soju.
Chef and Owner Esther Choi opened mŏkbar – driven by her personal passion to introduce New Yorkers to the traditional flavors and culture of Korea through food. Esther blends the traditions of her grandmother’s recipes and the influences of her adolescent years in Korea with her own American upbringing in her seasonal menus.
